Who could forget her speech and the impeccable pink dress at the <strong>Oscars</strong> in <strong>1999</strong> for a beautiful performance in &quot;<strong>Shakespeare in love</strong>&quot;?</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">She had everything to conquer the&nbsp;<strong>Hollywood</strong> and put herself alongside veterans like <strong>Meryl Streep</strong> and <strong>Glenn Close</strong>, but she chose not to. Instead, she bet on her wellness brand and platform&nbsp;<strong>Goop</strong>. Since then, her endeavor was successful and even won a documentary series on <strong>Netflix</strong> .</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">But the reasons why Gwyneth gave up the&nbsp;<strong>Hollywood</strong> were never quite clear, at least until today. In an interview with <strong>Bruce Bozzi,&nbsp;</strong>she revealed that the film &quot;The Proof&quot; (2005) was one of the reasons that led her to rethink her career on the big screen.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">She said that being in the spotlight all the time was too intense, especially for a 26-year-old woman. &quot;Part of the brilliance of acting has passed, and you know, being under such intense public scrutiny, being a child who experiences his breakthroughs in every headline, being criticized for everything you do, say and use,&quot; said Gwyneth.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">The mother of two said she loves to stay home with her family, so traveling the world and spending weeks on location was the opposite of what she wanted. &quot;I&#39;m a homely person, you know, I like being with my old friends, cooking and hugging my kids. I didn&#39;t want to be alone in a hotel room in Budapest for six weeks,&quot; she said.</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">Without referring to ex-producer <strong>Harvey Weinstein</strong> by name, she continued: &quot;So if you combine these things with the fact that, to be completely honest, I had a very tough boss for most of my film career at Miramax ... Like, so you take all these things, and come to the conclusion that this is really not my calling.&quot;</p>

<p style="text-align:justify">She hasn&#39;t quite given up on acting, of course, and fans can still see her in some movies, but it will definitely get more and more rare.</p>
