In the gastronomic haven of Tallinn, adorned with two Michelin stars restaurant &ldquo;180 Degrees by Matthias Diether&rdquo;, an event by the Art &amp; Gourmet project took place, where Guna Leishkalne-Roka and Denis Alexander Shevelev illuminated several chapters from their new book "STILS II: eating, hosting &amp; society".

The Latvian authors spoke of legendary parties across various epochs, sharing inspirations from their own soir&eacute;es. "The most iconic parties, in my view, were held in Paris of the 1920s, marking a shift in etiquette and a liberation of morals," Guna Leishkalne-Roka narrated, as listeners envisioned the Roaring Twenties and the unrestrained thirst for life that enveloped post-war Paris. They also touched upon the nuances of organization. Denis Shevelev, embodying the essence of exclusive gatherings, inspired by his muse and co-author, unveiled some secrets of staging spectacular events. According to the authors, in decor, one must follow a sense of measure, respond to invitations timely is a must, one must always adhere to the dress code specified in the invitation, never arrive before the appointed time, and the art of social conversation (small talk) remains a valuable contribution of each guest to the evening's atmosphere.

The art of fine dining was also discussed. As Anna Pavlova, creator of the Art &amp; Gourmet project, commented, "guests of the social salon possess good taste and discernment, hence we always delight in diving into various interesting topics and trying new gastronomic pleasures. This time, the restaurant 180 Degrees by Matthias Diether, graced with two Michelin stars, pleased our guests with exquisite appetizers accompanied by grand cru, allowing everyone to experience the philosophy of fine dining. And its philosophy is profound. It's not just about status, discovering new tastes, and the highest level of service and food aesthetics. Michelin-starred restaurants are a true gastronomic spectacle, where guests discover a marvelous plot created by the chef. In some cases, I would even say it's an opera with profound meaning and a breadth of passions, where you, as the main character, from the fluffy clouds of enveloping sweetness, admiring the briny rays and enjoying the cool gusts of sour notes, can in an instant plunge into the enticing depth and astringency of bitter taste, to dissolve into the infinity of all-encompassing umami."
