Cartier Redesigns the Watch of the Dandy Alberto Santos-Dumont
Its story has gone around the world: the Santos watch is the fruit of a friendship between watchmaker Louis Cartier and aviator Alberto Santo-Dumont. The latter, an eccentric dandy, had told his friend about the difficulty to decipher the time when flying. So, Louis Cartier produced a model that could be considered the first wristwatch.
