For #ValentinoRendezVous, Valentino's new Spring Summer 2022 collection, Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli focused on street spirit as a meeting place. Models walked at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, the center of trade since 1863, which still has a flourishing and magnificent character. Here, Piccioli told his personal and intimate story.

This is not the time to create "dull" designs

Frank Sorbier Haute Couture have successfully presented "Ode of Life" collection at the Spring Summer 2022 Paris Haute Couture Week.

Driven by the urgency of rethinking the rituals and processes of Couture in order to create a canon that reflects the richness and diversity of the contemporary world and promoting an idea of beauty that is not absolute, Creative Director Pierpaolo Piccioli imagined this Valentino Anatomy of Couture collection not on one single and idealized house model, but on a variety of women with different body frames and ages.

“The idea for the show's décor came from a longstanding desire to work with Xavier Veilhan. His references to constructivism remind me of those of Karl Lagerfeld,” says Virginie Viard. “I like this similarity of spirit between us, now and across time. In addition to creating the show décor with its references to the avant-gardes of the 1920s and 1930s, Xavier wanted to work with Charlotte Casiraghi. His artistic universe is full of horses and Charlotte is a skilled rider.”

The dimension of the Atelier that Maria Grazia Chiuri wished to explore for this new haute couture collection is one in which art and craft meet through a shared language.
