Top 5 must-visit spas in Marrakesh
The Dutch-Moroccan Yusra Idrissi (26) started in 2014 with her blog moroccanmusthaves.com and Instagramaccount @moroccanmusthaves . She wanted to discover her homeland and share the beauty of Morocco with the rest of the world. More than 96,000 people are now following her travel stories and Yusra reaches more than 1 million people every week with her channels. This time she goes for L'OFFICIEL NL looking for the best spas and hammams in Marrakesh.
1. Domaine de la Roseraie
At about 45km from the bustling Marrakesh lies the beautiful resort Domaine de la Roseraie . Located in the middle of the town of Asni in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, you will find an oasis of peace and nature. In addition to various massages, beauty treatments and traditional hamam sessions, you can also go for a day of riding through the mountains or a two-day Wellness package . A must-visit if you ask me!
2. Palais Aziza & Spa
Besides the fact that this 5 * hotel is already a zen zone (I really like staying here!), It also has a fabulousspa. The spa is located in a kind of 'cellar' under the ground - just completely closed off from the world. The long, dark corridors with red lighting provide relaxation à la minute . Enjoy a mani and pedicure while lying on a bed asleep, or pamper yourself with an oil massage of your choice.
3. Es Saadi Resort
This beautiful 5 * hotel is located in the center of Marrakech, but you do not have to leave the door for anything - reason why this is one of my favorite hotels. In addition to several outdoor swimming pools where you can have a delicious lunch, they have a beautiful indoor pool with large marble pillars. Here you can use more than five different sauna facilities and various beauty treatments and massages. All treatments are completed with a delicious, sweet Moroccan mint tea served in a room full of waterbeds. Yes please !
4. La Maison Arabe
If you really want to go all the way Moroccan , go for a spa treatment in a traditional riad. One of the best known in Marrakesh is La Maison Arabe. Enjoy, obviously , traditional hammam treatment which only uses natural products. Many rooms, lounge sofas and 1001-night lamps make this spot the ultimate place for a Moroccan hammam experience.
5. Palais Namaskar
A place that has been on my bucket list for a long time. This beautiful Indian-inspired, super deluxe hotel is mega Instagrammable and also has a fantastic spa. After a massage you can also enjoy the cold water in a private pool that is also in the room. A perfect spa for all loving couples out there .
