Because of her Italian origins, the supermodel became an ambassador of&nbsp;Made in Italy in the world, helping Milan to become one of the fashion world&#39;s capitals and building&nbsp;close relationships with Italian brands such as Versace and Dolce&amp;Gabbana.

Of Dutch descent, Mark Vanderloo was studying at the University of Amsterdam when he was discovered. After leaving school and moving to New York, he immersed completely into&nbsp;the fashion system, becoming one of the most famous supermodels of the &#39;90s. Known worldwide as the face of Hugo Boss, Vanderloo has posed for numerous advertising campaigns, including Calvin Klein and DKNY Men. His face and his Teutonic physique inspired the Commander Shepard character in a video game and the character Derek Zoolander in&nbsp;the film Zoolander. With a few more wrinkles,&nbsp;but still as charming as ever before, Vanderloo continues to model even today,&nbsp;walking for brands such as Dior Homme and Etro.

Marcus Schenkenberg

Marcus&nbsp;was rollerskating&nbsp;in Venice Beach, California, when he was&nbsp;discovered by the American photographer Bill King. Marcus Schenkenberg, of Swedish origin, has since become one of the most famous supermodels of the &#39;90s. He has been the face of fashion houses like Versace and Calvin Klein and been on the catwalk for brands such as Giorgio Armani.&nbsp;Schenkenberg, however, has not remained tied to the world of fashion - he has been involved in several film projects. He has also written a book&nbsp;about his model life, Marcus Schenkenberg: New Rules,&nbsp;and the character of Smith Jerrod in Sex and&nbsp;the City is said to have been inspired by him.
