Charlize Theron has opened up about dealing with impostor syndrome while working on her new film, Bombshell, in which she plays Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly while also working as the film's producer. The actress, starring alongside Nicole Kidman and Margot Robbie, explained that she doubted whether she was the best person for the job.

During a Q&A session about the film this week, Theron admitted to being "afraid of" taking on the role of someone who was so well known, but also feeling "there is someone who can do it better than you." The actress, however, knew she needed to continue the work.

"There is a wave going on now, like a union," the actress added. "I don't want my daughters to go through [sexual harassment]. We don't want our sisters to go through this. We don't want our moms to go through this. We just want to be able to go to work and feel safe."

The film tells the real story of how 20 women, including Kelly, made sexual allegations about Fox News President Roger Allies in 2016, prompting him to leave the position.
