Prints, leather, knits, draperies and masculinity are the top 5 trends for women's fashion shows for fall-winter 2023-24.

PRINTS

The models of the autumn-winter season are a creative interpretation of classic floral and animal prints, as well as the transfer of photographs and paintings to fabrics. Watercolors at Dries Van Noten, versatile and modular models at Prada, animal prints at Balenciaga, Etro and Dior, and fake prints at Loewe.

LEATHER

Leather garments are always in fashion, the autumn-winter 2023/24 season is diverse and rich in this regard. Designers and creative directors presented clothes of all kinds, experimenting with shapes, volumes, colors, adhering to the wardrobe classics. Bottega Veneta combines ostrich leather with crocodile skin, Chanel offers leather trench coats embellished with camellias, Gucci introduces business leather suits, and Fendi features sophisticated black leather dresses perfect for ultra-glamorous looks.

KNITWEAR

Autumn/winter season is not complete without knitwear, but this year women's knitwear appears in a non-standard way. Innovative interpretations and creations using yarns of different weights and types - from Miuccia Prada's very light transparent mesh, which appeared in the Miu Miu collections, to the three-dimensional designs of Etro and Bottega Veneta, the more classic versions of Dior and Valentino, and the brilliant models of Jil Sander.

MASCULINE

A strict and almost masculine approach can be seen in the women's collections for autumn-winter 2023/24. Coats and suits are featured on the Gucci runway, Pierpaolo Piccioli at the Valentino fashion show gave his vision of the uniform and used the tie (always a constraining accessory) as a symbol of liberation from the male dress code. And finally, personalized images of Ferragamo, Prada and Fendi, ripped from menswear to give the womenswear a more androgynous look.

DRAPE &amp; VOLUME

Silhouettes, accentuated by feminine draperies, are another great trend for the autumn-winter season. Jonathan Anderson for Loewe wraps the drapery of a silk dress in a metal sphere at the d&eacute;collet&eacute;. Maximilian Davies for Ferragamo offers draped mini dresses, while Gucci is revisiting the silhouette, redistributing volume at the bottom.
