The anniversary show of Fendi Fall/Winter 2025 was a triumph of heritage and modernity.

The fashion house Fendi celebrated its 100th anniversary in style with a truly iconic show during Milan Fashion Week. The Fall/Winter 2025 collection became a true time capsule, where legendary archival silhouettes met the new realities of the fashion future.

Family roots and a doorway to history

From the first seconds of the show, it was clear: Fendi is paying tribute to its roots. Silvia Venturini Fendi, responsible for the brand's men's collections, accessories and children's line, entrusted her six-year-old grandsons, Dardo and Tasio, to inaugurate the show. They opened the massive wooden doors, an exact replica of the entrance to the first Fendi boutique opened by Adele and Edoardo Fendi in 1925 on Via Borgognone in Rome. This touching gesture reminded the audience: despite being part of LVMH, Fendi remains a family affair.

Fashion DNA is timeless

With Kim Jones stepping down as Creative Director in October 2024, the future of the House was still open. However, the anniversary show proved that Fendi's DNA is unchanging. The collection embodied the elegant evolution of the fur and leather craftsmanship that began the brand's history.
There were 85 looks on the catwalk, in which Fendi's iconic materials were presented in a modern, conscious reading. Spectacular translucent dresses, impeccable cuts and refined silhouettes emphasized the fusion of tradition and innovation. Rare mink fur coats with zebra pattern appeared among fur products, but the emphasis was on sheepskin, which emphasizes the brand's adaptation to new standards of luxury. The color palette ranged from delicate pastel shades to deep terracotta and chocolate tones - a play on the contrast of lightness and structure.

Archives as inspiration rather than the past

Archival references permeated the entire collection, but did not turn it into a retrospective. It was a subtle game on the edge of tradition and relevance. The names on the catwalk only emphasized the status of the event: Adriana Lima, Yasmine Le Bon, Eva Herzigova, Karen Elson, Penelope Tree - legends of the industry, embodying the continuity of generations. In the front row is Sarah Jessica Parker, the epitome of the Baguette bag, who made the iconic bag the main accessory of Sex and the City.
The finale of the show was no less grandiose: the sudden appearance of Sean Paul lightened the atmosphere with a storm of excitement.
