The apartment, designed by Mattel founders Ruth and Elliot Handler, has just gone on sale for $10 million.

<p style="text-align:justify">Named <strong>Barbie&#39;s Penthouse</strong>, the property was home to the couple and children Barbara and Kenneth, who were the source of inspiration for creating the famous doll, and is located in Los Angeles, California.&nbsp;The property&#39;s current owner, Nicola Sassaman, conducted a renovation to honor the iconic Barbie&#39;s legacy. To do so, she took great care in Holly Hunt&#39;s decorative light fixtures, Venetian plaster finishes, themed wallpapers, custom furniture and a 3.6-metre double ceiling height.&nbsp;There&#39;s also plenty of room for very comfortable plush rugs, plush armchairs and large contemporary artwork.</p>
