FASHION STREAM FROM MOSCOW

On June 10 to 11, 2020, Global Talents Digital is taking place, the world’s first hybrid international online fashion project, which will combine real designer collections along with the digital ones. Virtual and human models will present new fashion collections. Virtual Instagram celebrities will deliver their personal digital collections. 50 participants from 20 countries will show their collections and works in an unconventional format of video presentations, some of them using AR technology and digital avatars. Fashion will be complemented by animated visual art: 3D artists will create some digital works specially for Global Talents Digital. For two days all the streams can be followed at social networks and over 100 websites throughout the world.

With current circumstances every industry is shook and uncertain about the future. Still, fashion never stops: whilst all the shows are frozen and the fundamental principles are rearranged, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi is still proving to be a crucial platform for supporting young and established Georgian designers. The next season of MBFWT will take place in an unprecedented new location in Tbilisi - the Art and Culture Center that will open in the ex-Coca-Cola factory building.

The first online Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia has officially begun!

On April 4 and 5, both emerging and established designers are presenting their new collections during the virtual Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Russia. For the first time ever, the event will be totally digital. This solution was developed to support designers and fashion houses in a time of pandemic.

Burberry Fall-Winter 2020 collection of menswear and womenswear, called Memories, is inspired by the memories of fashion house creative director Riccardo Tisci about the first year of his then-budding designer career. The collection contains clues about the places he had visited, from London to India, the people Riccardo had met and the music that inspired him early in his career.

The designers have always reworked forms, volumes, fantasies of another era. In this case, however, the many nineteenth-century references strike, mixed with references ranging from the beginning and the fifties of the twentieth century, who knows if to escape from the uncertainties of today. London Fashion Week thus reveals a double soul, on one side usable and contemporary, on the other evanescent, meditative.
