Wonder Boy is a sensual French motion picture that takes us closer to the creative director of the old fashion house Balmain. The main idea of the film is not the desire to show the story of how the young designer gave the old fashion house Balmain a new life - everything is much deeper. This is a story about finding yourself. Rusten was brought up in a foster family, the boy did not know his biological parents. The designer, together with the film's director Anissa Bonnefon, joined forces and found Olivier's birth certificate. Thanks to this search, amazing facts were learned: for example, that at birth his name was Claude Olivier Conte, that he was not of a mixed race, but of Somali-Ethiopian origin. When Olivier Rousteing was born, his mother was only 15. "Wonder Boy" is a very personal portrait of the designer, which is radically different from the glamorous image of Olivier that we are used to.

"With Olivier, we wanted to tell a story about a man who is looking for his roots, we believe it is very important to know who you are in order to understand where you are going. Rousteing is very brave, because he decided to star in the film while looking for his relatives. I believe that it will help other people too." - shared Bonnefort.
