<p><span>The modern entertainment industry calls for creative ways of mixing traditional and state-of-the-art media. The Swiss-Italian with Lithuanian roots singer Ginta has taken her career internationally by boldly experimenting with music, fashion, and technology. With the mission to blaze trails within the entertainment industry, she works smart to stay on top of the upcoming trends and true to herself.</span></p>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Ginta, let's talk about your childhood, how and when did your love of music form?</strong></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp;&nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">Growing up, music has always been a part of my life. I wrote my first song at the age of four, it was a poem I had a hard time learning by heart, so I put the words into music, and voil&agrave;! I started playing keys and picked up singing later on, without really thinking of making a career out of it one day. I just genuinely loved it. My afterschool activities were divided between music studies and modeling for a fashion agency in Milan. The first campaign was for Lee Jeans, followed by collaborations with Blumarine, Gianfranco Ferre, Missoni, Parah, and many more. After high school, I graduated in sound engineering in Milano and since then never stopped producing and exploring music genres as a singer. While I was still studying, the first big contract with a major record label came around &ndash; it was an artist contract with Warner Music. Later on, I moved to Universal Music Group, which gave me the opportunity to relocate in LA &ndash; the mecca of the music industry. In California, while songwriting with incredibly talented artists and recording tracks, I managed to continue my studies and gained a master's degree in New Technologies and Entrepreneurship in Silicon Valley where I met my tech mentors and long-term partners in show business. After the experience in the States, I moved to work with Sony Music Entertainment in Europe.</div>

<p><span>My inspiration comes mostly from traveling, either physically across the world or metaphorically through learning new things.</span></p>

<div style="text-align: justify;">I could describe the beauty and the power of making music as a special perception of time &ndash; when I&rsquo;m creating, time stops and dilutes, giving me the opportunity to grasp it in its wholeness, in alignment with my true self, with inspiration and deep devotion.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">I feel lucky to have had the chance to work with the giants of the industry, but at the same time, I understand that this profession is a lifetime learning process, where one needs to change one&rsquo;s skin and reinvent oneself constantly.   <div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>&ldquo;Night Shift&rdquo;, &ldquo;Kalimera&rdquo;, &ldquo;Pray&rdquo; &mdash; these and other hits in your performance have won awards at major festivals. How did you come to success?</strong></div>

  <div style="text-align: justify;">The secret sauce of success is&hellip; work! It&rsquo;s getting up in the morning excited to put hands on a special project, taking rejection as advice and keeping grinding, and surrounding yourself with a team that shares the same vision and mission.</div>

<p><span>The drive comes from within &ndash; build, create, invent, and, most of all, believe you can make it!</span></p>

<div style="text-align: justify;">Sometimes, when my motivation is low I ask myself &ldquo;why do I do what I do?&rdquo;. Having a clear picture of the higher goal besides awards and nominations is key.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">My goal, for instance, is to elevate the entertainment experience for my audience by blending music with fashion and new technologies. I was among the first artists in the world to experiment with virtual reality in music videos, augmented reality, and holograms for live shows and binaural audio recording systems in collaboration with Dolby Labs. All this &ndash; to engage my public as much as possible in an unexplored multidimensional work of art.&nbsp;</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">My new single &ldquo;Hallelujah&rdquo; (Smash Deep / Sony Music Publishing) is out now on all digital platforms. It&rsquo;s a rendition of the iconic Leonard Cohen&rsquo;s track, produced by the Swiss electronic guru Suark. It&rsquo;s vocally profound and powerful, there&rsquo;s space to express my sound from another perspective, which I usually don't use in production of up-tempo songs. I loved the process of exploring my own vocal capacity, recording at the studio, and presenting the track to the public with the live orchestra directed by Maestro Vincenzo Sorrentino. I hope you&rsquo;ll enjoy the song and the video as much as we do, both in its original and acoustic versions!</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>In your opinion, what is the main goal of music in the modern world? How can it be achieved?</strong></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">&nbsp; &nbsp;</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">The ultimate goal is to make people feel good &ndash; music is lightness, time travel, and an emotion-provoking tool. This tool has the power to touch the deepest chords of the soul, the ones that sometimes we bury under a shell and show to no one. It&rsquo;s a medium to convey emotions as well as express a variety of thoughts and feelings in the modern world. As such, its main goal is to create harmony and unity among people by helping them connect with each other on an emotional level. In order to achieve this, integration and collaboration between different genres, styles and cultures are essential. Additionally, music can be used to help us learn more about our history, cultures, and the stories of others around us. With the power of music at hand, countless possibilities are available for us to explore and realize our potential.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What qualities must a singer have in order to succeed in a highly competitive world?</strong></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">There&rsquo;s no sure path to success, as it&rsquo;s very individual. Though there are common traits that might take one further in a highly competitive art world. Singers need to possess certain essential qualities, such as a strong vocal personality, confident performance, powerful stage presence, and the ability to control emotions even amidst music and audience pressure.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">In addition, it&rsquo;s vital to possess self-discipline and dedication to continuously practice and perfect the skills, like in every field. There must be a good dose of the urge to express oneself through a stream of content creation process, the need to connect with a wider audience, and having something to say to the world.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">Communication and connections play a big part in an artist's success. You can&rsquo;t just sit on your art. What you need to do is go out there and share it! The ability to connect with industry insiders and with the public, as well as the skill to build an authentic and receptive following on social media are key elements nowadays. Think of a music artist as a brand with a soundtrack. It comes as a full package and a full-time job.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What are your creative plans for the coming year 2023?</strong></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">This year is going to be a big one! My team and I have several music releases planned. A book about building a career in the content creation field is underway. I expect many fashion and tech collaborations, speech panels where I&rsquo;ll be sharing my know-how in show business, and lots of traveling. Now that I say it, it feels quite overwhelming! I am simply not able to stay in one place and wait for life to fall on me. I love to make things happen.</div>
