HeJi: Where East Meets West in Gastronomic Fusion

Autumn is wonderful and sad at the same time. The sun no longer warms as much, but the cool air pleasantly tickles the skin, creating a feeling of something fresh and new. On rainy evenings, one wishes to sit in a warm, cozy room with a blanket and hot tea, watching the drops of water on the window glass and the colorful foliage of autumn.

Inese Jansone is the founder and chief designer of the interior design studio Inese Jansone Design Studio, as well as the founder of the online design courses StartDesignCourse. This fantastic kitchen with a dining area was created in a beautiful house project on the bank of the Daugava, so we also wanted to create an atmosphere that was warm, but with accents; elegant, but with a spark!

From January 24 until May 18 Zuzeum Art Centre will present Unframed: Leis, Tabaka, Rožanskaitė, an exhibition which centers the works of three Baltic women artists – Malle Leis (1940–2017), Maija Tabaka (1939) and Marija Teresė Rožanskaitė (1933–2007) – in the late Soviet era of the 1970s and 1980s. Pushing the boundaries of self-representation, abstraction, and spatial dynamics, their art invites us to step beyond traditional frameworks and discover new, nuanced perspectives.
