The Fall-Winter 2025 show opens with a number of black dresses that could have become classic little black dresses, if not for their deliberately distorted proportions. Instead of the usual fit, they seem to hang around the body, deliberately creating a sense of extra size. But it's not just the silhouettes: raw cuts, sloppy pleats and unexpected combinations create an effect of deliberate mismatch.
When color bursts appear on the runway - red, yellow, green, sky blue, pink - the structure of the outfits ruins the usual ideas about elegance. Dresses are layered over pants, even jeans, which is rare for Prada. Skirts sit carelessly on the waist, exposing the spontaneity of the image, while leather minis are combined with solid blousons. Coats and jackets get hypertrophied shoulders, and elegant belts unexpectedly emphasize the waist, creating a game of contrasts between strictness and softness.
The key motif of the collection is fur, but reinterpreted. It is voluminous, luxurious, sensual, but made of innovative materials that resemble the texture of natural fur, but completely ethical and environmentally friendly. Prada does not make sharp turns in its style, but it is in this subtle boldness and rejection of chaos that its strength lies. The Prada woman is not a rebel in the traditional sense, but there is a quiet, captivating power in her carelessly ruffled hair and confident grace.
