Matteo Tamburini unveiled his debut collection for Tod’s at Milan’s historic Darsena tram depot. The curious decision to set the show in one of Milan’s busiest transit stations was perhaps done to personify the everyday men and women who fill the station with life and animation. After all, fashion is used as a constant vehicle for expression, even during mundane commutes.

Tod’s, known for their impeccable craftsmanship and refined quiet luxury, hones in on raw materials and the concept of deconstructed luxury, thus resulting in an amalgamation of pieces that cerebrally communicate this theme. The loosely belted looks, the sleeveless double-colored coat, and the chainlink skirt are a few of the many garments that magnify the artistry involved in this sophisticated and detail-oriented collection.

Other elements of the show that are iconic to the brand are the Gommino driving shoes and the loafers. A new fringed version of the driving shoe, the Yorky, also made an appearance. It's clear the fashion house commits to every component of an outfit, resulting in top-quality accessories and shoes in addition to well-made clothes. No part of an ensemble is forgotten.

Tamburini's display of quality luxury pieces in the form of masterfully made sweaters and coats, as well as smart relaxed-fit trousers, perfectly embodies timeless luxury.
