To celebrate 10 years in power, Olivier Rousteing brings mystery and glamor to Balmain Spring/Summer 2022 collection with cutouts in neutral tones, dotted with bold red designs and luxury gold.

On September 28, ten years ago, the anonymous 25-year-old Oliver Rousteing made his first appearance at the end of the show Balmain and bowed to the grave. &ldquo;No one would have believed that someone like that could lead a French high-fashion house,&rdquo; - Beyonc&eacute; says in the recording that plays in the beginning of act two.

During his early years at Balmain, Olivier&#39;s designs were constantly mocked as vulgar and trashy. This is a huge blow to him. Responding to criticisms and boos, Olivier worked hard in silence and then 5 years later &ndash; 2016, he was recognized as a talented and daring leader, the first black person to come to the top of&nbsp;a famous French fashion house. Rousteing&nbsp;is mature enough to understand that the noisy comments before are the creaking of a door that he must kick open to go to a brighter future.

The show was a whole new definition of glamor in Olivier Rousteing&#39;s world: naked, bold and strong. Full screen 1 is the cutout costumes with neutral tones such as black, white, beige,&nbsp;dotted with eye-catching red designs and luxurious gold armor. Many of the designs in the first act were inspired by the &quot;geniuses&quot; that went before, especially Thierry Mugler. In addition, Rousteing also brings back his old designs from his school days, designs from 2012 learned from big names like Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler and Rick Owens.

These outfits are teamed with oversized gold accessories, a large puffer bag or futuristic-inspired sunglasses. In addition, the fake jacket backpacks are also an interesting highlight of the collection.

The final few designs of Act 1 also tell another recent Rousteing story: during the break, he suffered severe burns, had to be hospitalized for a month to recover, and the result was a change in color skin factor. That pain and change is his inspiration and is shown in his bandage-like dresses, soft and flexible.

When the stage changed color and Beyonc&eacute;&#39;s recording was played, legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell stepped out to open the second act. The twelve costumes in Act 2 were inspired by designs that Olivier personally loved and lifted him up in his career.

Another special thing that makes Balmain&nbsp;show so memorable: the closing steps of the former French First Lady Carla Bruni and the appearance of Crown Princess of LVMH &ndash; Natalia Vodianova.
