Laura Anspoka, a recent graduate from Westminster University's co-university IED Barcelona, is redefining bridal fashion with her brand Novaliss. Her graduate collection participated in London Graduate Fashion week, Fashioners of the World runway in Barcelona and in other events, collaborations, promotes sustainability by featuring bridal and occasion wear that can be worn more than once and transformed into daily wear. Inspired by Nordic fairytales and culture, Anspoka's designs challenge wedding clichés and taboos, inviting wearers to be part of a community of dreamers and rebels. The photoshoot's impact is enhanced by stylist and photographer Asya Belova, who humorously critiques outdated wedding traditions through her creative vision. Together, Anspoka and Belova have crafted a photoshoot that is not only stunning but also carries a powerful message about sustainability and self-expression.
Novaliss is more than a brand; it's a movement towards a thoughtful and imaginative approach to bridal fashion.
In the 2025, why we are still attached to last century’s principles of how bride or feminine woman should dress and look like? The new generation is all about self expression and freedom of choice, rebellion, building something new from something old.
Something bold that would put our inner world, opinions and attitude on the display as a statement. And fashion in general is a statement itself. Statement of values, creativity and who WE ARE.
"I don’t take limo to the church" editorial talks about dreamers and rebels, codependency versus freedom. A runaway bride who decides to take herself into her own hands and live independently. A woman with her own destiny and mind. Dry flowers as symbols for something beautiful and romantic yet it’s in the past - crumbling and flying off with the wind. "I don’t care who wants to marry me or who should I marry. I can marry myself, eat the whole wedding cake and be the happiest."
Usually it’s assumed that women cut off their hair, changing their hair color, changing their style and delving straight into their masculine energy right after the breakup. The more painful the breakup, the more courageous and daring changes she is getting. What if it’s wrong? What if life goes in cycles and something new is required to start off fresh. We grow, we evolve and we change as women. And we change so often.
If I want to, I can eat the whole cake myself. If I want to, I can be the most ethereal self. But it’s my own choice.
