On 3rd December 2024, the CHANEL 2024/25 Métiers d'art show will take place in Hangzhou, China, on the mythical West Lake. This legendary location is featured on the large 19th century Coromandel lacquered screen in the study of Gabrielle Chanel's apartment at 31 rue Cambon in Paris. A source of dreams and creativity, this screen nourished the couturière’s imagination. Now, it has inspired director Wim Wenders to make a short film shot between Paris and Hangzhou, starring CHANEL ambassador Tilda Swinton.
